BrowOS on your own domain.
Point a domain you own at BrowOS and the whole desktop runs on it: apps, Safari proxy, Movies, Music, Messages. HTTPS is set up for you. Free.
1. Add one DNS record
At your domain’s DNS provider (Cloudflare, Namecheap, FreeDNS, anything), add one of these:
| For | Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| A subdomain school.example.com | CNAME | school | byod.os.daylit.net |
| The bare domain example.com | A | @ | 5.188.124.119 |
On Cloudflare, leave the cloud grey (DNS only). With the orange proxy on, the check below can’t see the record and HTTPS won’t be issued.
2. Check it
3. Open it
- Visit
https://your-domain. The very first visit takes a few seconds while the certificate is issued. - Your domain is its own copy: saved settings and files live per domain, so sign in to your account to bring Music, Messages and Chess with you.
